COVID-19 Health Screening Assessment and Show Guidelines

Add/Drop form for day of showing use only please

We highly prefer that you fill out the forms and email them to us.

How to complete a fillable PDF form:

It is recommended that you use Adobe Reader to fill out the PDF forms. You can download a free version.

BEFORE completing the document SAVE the form to a location on your computer. Example desktop or documents.

-Right click on the form and click "save as"


Once you have saved the form to your computer, you are ready to complete the form.

Open the fillable form. Fill it out.

Point your mouse to the first fillable field in the document and click to show a cursor in the field. Type your response in the field. Then click on the next tab. Areas of the form that use buttons are easy- simply click on the circle corresponding to your response.

After you have filled out the form SAVE a final version of the file on your computer. 

Attach the new form to an email and email the form to neghcshow@gmail.com

If you simply open the pdf form in your web browser and fill it out and try to save it you will find that none of your 

information saves. 

There are a number of other options to fill out pdf forms and send. DocHub is one example- it is free and it will allow you to sign the waiver.

If you can not fill out the form and email it then you have a few other options:

Print it out, fill it out with a pen and scan the document- then email it to neghcshow@gmail.com

Pre-entries without incurring a late fee must be postmarked by September 8th. Pre-entries only. All entries must be postmarked by September 20th. All show entries not received as pre-entries by Sept 8th will incur a $20 late fee per horse. No entries postmarked after September 20th will be accepted.

COVID-19 Procedures and Guidelines

NEGHC COVID-19 2020 Show Guidelines and Procedures 

Entrance to showgrounds:

  • Enter and exit through the Main Entrance on Stillwater Bridge Road.

  • No one besides Management and NEGHC BoD is allowed to arrive on the property before 4:30 pm Friday October 2nd.

  • Everyone entering showgrounds is required to check their own temperature and assess their own wellness prior to arrival.

  • Everyone entering the showgrounds will stop at the entrance desk and hand in signed COVID-19 Health Screening Assessment as well as have their temperature taken.  

  • Those with temperatures above 99.5°F (37.5°C), and those who traveled in the same vehicle are NOT permitted to enter the showgrounds.

  • Only people essential to the showing of the horses will be allowed on the show grounds .

  • Everyone who has been cleared to enter will receive a bracelet that must be worn at all times on the showgrounds.

  • Individuals at the check-in, secretary and awards tables must maintain six feet from others and must wear a mask  or face covering, covering their mouth and nose.

  • Those older than 65 years old and/or have an underlying medical condition that increases your COVID-19 risk, please consider consulting your physician prior to attending the horse show.

  •  If you have been exhibiting COVID-19 Symptoms (cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fever, chills, muscle pain, sore throat and/or new loss of taste of smell) or you have been in contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 14 days, please stay home and get well.

  • Upon entering the fairgrounds, please leave 12 ft between all vehicles. 

  • Camper spots must be pre-reserved, and will be assigned and limited to every third spot.


  •  Outside spectators will not be allowed on the grounds. Essential personnel includes the exhibitor, a trainer OR groom and one family member IF the exhibitor is a minor. 

Social Distancing & Respiratory Etiquette

  • Ensure a distance of at least six feet is maintained among individuals at all times, whether indoor or outdoor. If a shorter distance is required for tacking horses etcetera, individuals must wear acceptable face coverings .

  • Acceptable face coverings for COVID-19 include but are not limited to cloth-based face coverings and disposable masks all face coverings must cover both the mouth and nose.

  • When mounted or driving a horse, riders/drivers have the option to wear a mask or face covering but it is not required. 

  • Follow appropriate respiratory hygiene and cough etiquette- sneeze into your elbow.

  • Hand washing and/or sanitizing stations will be provided.

  • No congregating with those outside of your cohort on the showgrounds. 

  • In the event of a thunderstorm or rain, please seek shelter in your vehicle. DO NOT shelter in common areas or the stabling area.

  • Limit capacity to no more than 50% of the maximum occupancy for a particular area.

  • Please do not lean/sit on fences or gates.



Hygiene, Cleaning, and Disinfection 

  • Please do not share equipment with others outside of your cohort unless the equipment is able to be cleaned and disinfected between use.

  • Hand hygiene stations will be provided, including handwashing with soap, water, and paper towels, as well as an alcohol based hand sanitizer containing 60% or more alcohol for areas where handwashing is not feasible. 

  • Hand sanitizer will be placed throughout the site.

  • Restrooms will be limited to half capacity. There will be a bathroom attendant to sanitize the area.

Secretary’s Office & Administration

  • The Secretary’s office will be located in the Indoor Ring View Room. Only one exhibitor in the office at a time.

  • We are accepting pre-entries only.

  • PayPal will be accepted for payment of entries. 

  • All required forms must be completed before back number are assigned. 

  • All add/drops must be done online through the Google Form: https://forms.gle/4vZq4tDFbpowgi7x9 and must be followed with a PayPal payment.

Competition, Schooling and Exercise Areas

  • Competition schedule changes and updates will be announced.

  • At the in-gate and exit-gate area, only the trainer is allowed except for youth who can have a family member.

  • Please watch from the sides of the ring , while keeping social distance of at least 6 feet from those outside your own cohort.

  • All show rings will have a separate In-gate and Out-gate or one way traffic flow and/or there will be time between entering and exiting groups. 

  • Patterns will be posted via Facebook and on the wall outside of the Secretary’s office at least the night before show day.

Schooling Rings

  • A minimum of 2 horse lengths must be kept between horses.


  • Stabling was configured to allow for social distancing. Please do not use the empty stalls.

Ribbons & Awards

  • Ribbons and awards will not be handed out in or at the ring.

  • There will not be any trophy presentations.

  • Ribbons can be picked up at the Awards Table. Please follow social distancing. 1 Person at the table at a time.

Food & Beverage ordering

  • There is a maximum of 10 individuals per  seated table.

  • Customers waiting to order, pick up food etc must remain 6 feet apart and wear masks.


We understand that wearing masks and following these guidelines at a horse show can be inconvenient but please remember that following these procedures  is necessary to hold a show at this time.
